Triumph in China
Having received standing ovations at every single venue of the tour - from Shanghai to Nanjing, Gaungzhou, Shenzhen, Wuhan and Beijing - Alexander Shelley and the Nuremberg Symphony Orchestra tonight conclude their hugely successful tour of China with a second performance in Beijing’s prestigious National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA). They are joined by star percussionist Evelyn Glennie in a programme of Vivaldi, Wagner, Tchaikovsky and Chen Yi before returning to Europe and continuing the subscription series in Nuremberg. Impressions, reviews and photographs from the tour to follow!
